BUDAPEST - More than 10,000 demonstrators gathered on Wednesday evening in front of the Hungarian parliament building in Budapest for the third consecutive night, to call for the resignation of Prime Minister Ferenc Gyurcsany, an AFP correspondent at the scene reported.

Riot police with shields, helmuts, bulletproof vests and gas masks formed a security cordon around the building as demonstrators continued to pile into the square.
